Improving Sexual and Reproductive Health in Ethiopia: Young Lives Evidence Shows Inequalities Continue to Disadvantage Adolescent Girls and Young Women

Ethiopia has made significant improvements in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) over the past two decades through key policy initiatives and strategic objectives in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Despite these positive trends, inequalities and entrenched patriarchal norms continue to disadvantage adolescent girls and young women, particularly those from poor  households and in rural areas.

This policy brief summarises research findings on SRH in Ethiopia from over two decades of the Young Lives study and presents key policy recommendations.
