Young Lives Ethiopia is pleased to host the July 2025 monthly seminar of the Children, Youth, and Women - Research and Practice Forum (CYW-RPF).

This month’s session will feature a thought-provoking presentation titled:

“Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in the Northern Ethiopia Conflict: Prevalence and Response in Afar, Amhara, and Tigray”

Presented by: Tenagne Yismaw, Head of the Department of Gender and Development Studies at Bahir Dar University.

For over 15 years, the CYW-RPF has served as a vibrant platform for sharing cutting-edge research, policy perspectives, and practical innovations related to child protection, gender equality, and adolescent wellbeing. Organized by Young Lives, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Social Affairs (MoWSA) and UNICEF Ethiopia, the forum continues to foster meaningful dialogue and collaborative action to improve outcomes for children, youth, and women in Ethiopia.
